Panic starts to set in!
The phone is ringing and clients or customers on the other end are asking questions you can only answer with your computer running. You start telling them the computers are down and you will have to get back to them.
You are now searching frantically for the I-T Techs phone number so you can get him in to correct the problem. You know this is going to be expensive, after all, he charges $125 per hour.
When the call is answered on the other end, you realize it’s an answering machine! The voice says “Please leave a message I will get back to you as soon as possible”. You leave a message, an hour later the phone rings, it’s him. Thank God, you say, he starts asking you questions about the problem, you soon discover that not only do you have a computer crash but you most likely have no backup as well.
The tech tells you he can’t get to your location until Monday morning because he is out of town for the weekend, sound familiar?
